Job Description
SUMMARY:
To learn and assist in the maintenance and repair of all presses and equipment, while adhering to the Preventative Maintenance Program.
 
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
·         Develop and perform daily, weekly, monthly, and annual preventative maintenance.
·         Fabrication and repair of equipment.
·         Troubleshoot, fix and/or recommend all repairs, upgrades or improvements.
·         Order parts and call in any service technicians from outside companies as required.
·         Maintain records of maintenance performed.
·         Help prevent unscheduled downtime.
·         Perform building maintenance.
·         Perform and adhere to lock-out procedures, along with any and all other safety rules and regulations.
·         Maintain a clean and safe work area.
·         Work with and train under the direction of the molding manager or designee.
·         Has authority to stop the process if nonconforming or suspect material is found.
·         Other duties as assigned.
 
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
·         High school diploma or equivalent.
·         Two years of electrical troubleshooting experience.
·         Demonstrated ability to perform basic machine maintenance and building maintenance.
·         Proven ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
·         Ability to drive and operate a forklift.
·         Ability to operate an overhead crane.
·         Good recordkeeping skills 
·         Basic computer skills.
·         Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
·         Time management: the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
·         Strong team player.
 
NON-REQUIRED ADDITIONAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
·         Some college coursework or certification in related field.
·         Ability to read hydraulic and electrical blueprints.
·         PLC experience for troubleshooting.
·         Lock Out Tag Out Training
·         Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
 
Walk; sit; stand, climb ladder; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with arms and hands; balance, stoop, twist, bend, talk, and hear; lift and/or move up to 55 pounds.  Vision abilities: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.  The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

·         Annual review with emphasis on unscheduled downtime numbers.
·         Preventative Maintenance Program.
