Minimum Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, CPA license, and 5-8 years’ experience in relevant position.
  • Public Accounting or other professional services environment experience preferred, experience with construction and manufacturing clients desired.
  • Ability to effectively develop, supervise, train, coach, and mentor staff.
  • Ability to effectively manage people with poise and professionalism during stressful times, especially during peak periods of client engagements/deadlines.
  • Ability to act like a role model and maintain compliance with all firm-wide policies and procedures.
  • Ability to be actively involved in community, social, business, and professional organizations to generate referral sources.
  • Demonstrate, through knowledge and proficiency, advanced technical skills for advising clients.
  • Recognize complex technical issues, use strategic decision-making skills, and reach appropriate conclusions.
 
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Participate in mentoring, training, recruiting, retention, and team-building activities.
  • Solicit internal experts Firm-wide to assist in marketing and selling firm services to existing clients.
  • Complete both written and oral performance reviews constructively and timely and provide ongoing feedback throughout the performance year.
  • Develop industry expertise/stay abreast of industry news and use to contribute to staff knowledge.
  • Communicate (verbally and in writing) all technical material to clients effectively.
  • Ensure top quality client service and oversee performance of engagement activity.
  • Participate in client-related planning, including preparation and ongoing management of budgets.
  • Manage risk and ensure quality control procedures are being executed on all engagement activities.
  • Ensure efficient and profitable execution of financial management engagement.
  • Build smooth working client relationships to solicit client input and satisfaction.
