In this position, you will use your broad knowledge of electrical controls, IT, and security systems to meet security and access control needs. You will be involved in projects from the preliminary planning to installation. This is the perfect position for a self-starter who wants to learn new systems and seek out and utilize process improvement opportunities.

Control Systems Engineer Responsibilities:
  • Engineering, design, and programming of PLC systems
  • HMI development using Wonderware software
  • Design of system and network architecture
  • Design hardware and panel schematics
  • Analyze and develop solutions for integrating disparate systems.
  • Production of customer and in-house documentation
  • Provision of technical support for both customer and internal team members
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Associates or Bachelor Degree in Engineering or related technical field or substantial equivalent work experience.
  • 2 years of direct, hands-on PLC and/or HMI programming experience.
  • Pass government background checks as required by our clients
  • Ability and willingness to travel 30+ percent (2-3 consecutive weeknights on average, home on weekends).
Nice to have skills/experience but not required:
  • Experience using HMI or SCADA software, preferably Wonderware Intouch and Archestra
  • Experience programming PLCs, preferably Omron, Modicon Momentum and/or Allen Bradley 5000
  • Experience designing electrical controls systems. Autocad experience a plus
  • Good understanding of networking principles and communications.
  • Ability to interact with clients and coworkers professionally
  • Knowledge and understanding of building automation, video, intercom, and/or access control systems a plus.
  • VB.NET, C# programming experience a plus.
