Job Description


Must possess complete understanding of electric motor (AC and DC) operation and the associated controls. Technician will proficiently perform installation, alignment, and balancing of rotating equipment in a site specific field location.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
•    Must be willing to travel up to 80% of the time.
•    Ability to work in a TEAM environment. Proficient use of micrometers and calipers to measure critical machine fits.
•    Understand sleeve bearing operation and have the ability to correct fit if necessary. Install new or modified equipment at customer’s facility to insure full functionality according to specifications.
•    Reviews performance reports from customer and inspects malfunctioning or damaged product to determine nature and scope of problem.
•    Analyzes inspection findings to determine source of problem and recommends repair, replacement, or other corrective action.
•    Coordinates problem resolution with engineering, customer service, and other personnel to expedite repairs. Provide on-site technical assistance to help troubleshoot and repair equipment.
•    Provide communication link between the customer and the company to insure that effective service is provided to the customer.
•    Conduct safe operations of the equipment and demonstrates skills to trainees, including both team members and customers.

Non Essential Duties (Secondary):
•    Knowledge of lockout/tag out, confined space, electrical safety and OSHA standards.
•    Ability to manage multiple priorities, effective team player. Perform preventive and predictable maintenance activities on all company equipment.
•    Perform welding and brazing operations. Other duties as assigned.

•    Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills are required.
•    Aptitude to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
•    Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. This is normally acquired through a high school diploma or equivalent.
•    Two to four years minimum related experience is desired.
•    Must be able to pass various drug screens required by customers in order to work on their locations. Must have a valid driver’s license with a safe driving record.
•    Must possess own assorted hand tools to perform the related tasks.
•    Capability to identify potential maintenance problems, and recommend potential solutions. Ability to interpret blue prints and drawings.
•    Must be able to read and interpret electrical wiring and schematic diagrams and connections. Ability to read and interpret repair instructions.
•    Skill needed to read and understand various schematics.
Education and/or Experience:
•    High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

 •  Minimum of 5-7 years direct hands on related experience in repairing and maintaining electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems or equivalent combination of education and experience is desired.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
•    CDL License preferred
