HVAC INSTALLER / START UP TECHNICIAN - CHARLOTTE NC

Job Title:
HVAC Installer/Start Up Technician

Job Summary:
Install, execute start up and trouble shoot HVAC equipment and related controls systems including direct expansion, chilled water, hot water and variable air volume systems in a commercial/industrial environment. Additionally, will work with other equipment such as unitary, split, chillers, cooling towers, boilers and pumps.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Install and troubleshoot HVAC controls, thermostats, etc.
-Install and braze refrigerant pipe, fittings, TXV's, etc.
-Charge and recover refrigeration systems. (R22, 410A, 407C, etc.)
-Assist with ductwork, water and gas piping, and rigging as required.
-Assist with air and water balancing.
-Perform electrical, temperature, humidity, and pressure readings as part of the start-up procedure and fill out reports.
-And other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Four or more years of prior work experience as an HVAC Installer or Start Up Technician in a commercial/industrial environment is required.
Universal Refrigerant Certification and valid driver's license and ability to meet MVR requirements to operate company vehicle is necessary.
Prior experience in gas piping layout/installation, water piping layout/installation and refrigerant piping layout/installation is preferred.

Ability to work in both line voltage and control voltage installation and troubleshooting is necessary.
Electrical license is a plus.
Ability to travel a multi-state area as work demands is necessary.
Willingness to assist with duct work and sheet metal installation as needed is a must.
Available to work overtime and weekends as work demands.
