Job Description
Excellent growth opportunity for a Human Resources Manager in the Waterloo/Cedar Falls, IA area.  The ideal candidate will have Bachelor’s degree and four or more years of experience in all phases of HR in a manufacturing environment.  This position is a direct hire for a successful midsize manufacturing company.  
 
Responsibilities of the Human Resource Manager:
  • Recruit, interview, check references and recommend candidates for hire
  • New employee orientation process
  • Ensure compliance with governmental directives and company policy including ADA, AA, EEOC, Sexual Harassment, etc.
  • Maintain personnel records and medical benefits
  • Report accidents and injuries at work sites, Workers Compensation investigations, etc.
  • Employee separation and exit interviews
  • Develop and conduct internal training courses for supervisory employees, and direct companywide training initiatives
  • Employee relations
  • Prepare and maintain job descriptions
  • Chair or serve on committees and teams relating to HR
Education:   4-year degree required
 
Required Skills for the Human Resource Manager:
  • 4+ years of human resource supervisory or management experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge and experience in recruiting and hiring processes, governmental compliance, employee relations, personnel records, workers compensation, training, etc.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and leadership skills
