Vice President of Human Resources


Our client is seeking a strategic HR business partner to support a key business with the execution of talent and organizational initiatives.  Reporting directly to the Chief Human Resources Officer, the Vice President of Human Resources will serve as a member of the Human Resources Leadership Team and serve as a valuable resource to this business


Responsibilities of the position include:


• Partnering closely with business leaders to understand their needs and to implement the appropriate talent strategies and processes to address them, including but not limited to, workforce planning, talent acquisition, workforce engagement, compensation planning, retention, succession planning, performance management, and talent development
• Working closely with HR centers of excellence to help facilitate solutions to business needs, as well as to help define the metrics against which impact and success of the solutions will be measured
• Deploying HR initiatives, and promoting the HR service delivery model, throughout the business segment
• Leading a team of direct reports and supporting them through the various stages of the employee lifecycle, utilizing self-service tools as is appropriate


Skills and requirements of the position include:


• Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, with an MBA or advanced degree or certification, strongly preferred
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, with a minimum of 5 years of management experience
• Experience working within an HR shared services model a plus
• Effective communication skills and ability to influence and empower at all levels within the organization, from individual contributors through executive leadership teams
• Demonstrated ability to translate business needs into strategic initiatives and drive them to successful outcomes  
• Demonstrated ability to serve as a change leader
• Demonstrated ability to coach and mentor talent at all levels within the organization
