Inventory and Shipping Supervisor – First Shift
Marion, OH
Salary up to 55K + paid overtime

Manufacturer is seeking an Inventory and Shipping Supervisor to oversee the warehouse activities.  Daily you will oversee the accuracy of the finished goods and raw materials inventory, as well as shipping activity.  You will report daily to the Distribution Manager and will lead a small team of coordinators and specialists. Responsibilities will include:
  • Inventory troubleshooting and management
  • Improving shipping and inventory procedures to ensure internal and external customer satisfaction
  • Coordinating activities between the traffic, customer service and scheduling departments to ensure timely shipments and customer satisfaction
  • Managing, leading and coaching a staff of inventory and receiving coordinators
  • Cross-training in all inventory and shipping positions in order to perform work responsibilities as a backup
  • Assisting with establishing daily priorities for the warehouse
  • Other duties as directed by management  
Candidates should feel comfortable being on the floor up to 50% of their day.  This is a long-term day shift position; however, occasionally candidates may have to support off shifts or work weekends as needed.  Candidates will have promotional opportunity in the future.  Interested applicants should have strong leadership abilities, be able to work independently, have the ability to hold others accountable, enjoy making process improvements and coaching the current staff.  This is a salary position with overtime opportunities and competitive benefits!

Requirements for the Inventory and Shipping Supervisor:
  • Minimum of a high school diploma or GED
  • At least 3-5 years in a similar inventory and/or shipping position
  • Experience overseeing and coaching others
  • Experience with inventory systems and/or shipping responsibilities
  • Experience working in manufacturing, logistics, distribution and/or warehousing
  • Willingness to complete detailed paperwork and perform data entry
  • Strong computer skills, including Windows environments and Microsoft Office Word and Excel
Skills preferred, but not required:
  • Food manufacturing experience
  • ERP and/or MRP experience
