The OPPORTUNITY: Seeking a Full-time MDS Coordinator for a well-established, financially stable, Non-Profit 74-bed Skilled Nursing Facility with attached rehab services. Your primary responsibility will be to conduct and coordinate the development and completion of the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI), that is, the Minimum Data Set (MDS), Care Area Assessments (CAAs) and Care Plan in accordance with State and Federal requirements. Participates as part of the Nursing Center Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) for Medicare management as assigned.  The facility itself includes a campus with several beautiful buildings, highlighted by a stunning two story plant-filled atrium.

The position requires:

  • Current RN nursing license (Idaho or compact state)
  • MDS Certification
  • Knowledgeable & experienced in the RAI process, CAAs, RUG categories and MDS 3.0.
  • Knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations and guidelines that pertain to nursing care facilities.
  • Must chart nurses’ notes in an informative and descriptive manner that reflects the care provided to the resident and resident’s response to care.
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Records and computer documentation systems.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all resident care information in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
