Job Description
Under the supervision of the shift Team Leader, performs all tasks necessary to ensure the customers receive quality parts in a timely manner.  Performs regular visual inspection and labeling of molded product and ensures conformance with established acceptance criteria. Maintains a high level of accuracy in a clean and efficient manner.
·         Performs the required visual inspections per OIS inspection criteria and reports defects found to the Quality Technician.
·         Obtains and provides parts needing SPC per OIS to Quality Technician
·         Maintains documentation of inspection results.
·         Packages, labels, and scans all molded product appropriately.
·         Verifies the label is correct, per job card, and in proper location on the carton.
·         Reports scrap generated on daily basis to team leader.
·         Responsible for 5-S in their assigned area by maintaining a clean and organized work area at all times, as well as ensuring all previously run parts and materials have been removed from the press area and any spilled product is cleaned immediately.
·         Has authority to stop the process if nonconforming or suspect material is found.
·         Assists with containment actions including identification of a “clean point” and coordinating the sorting of any suspect nonconforming products in conjunction with the Quality Technician.
·         Sorts contained non-conforming product as requested.
·         Fills in as necessary for Quality Technician during times of reduced capacity.
·         Performs any other related function or duty as requested by Manager or Senior Quality Engineer.
·         Assists the Molding Department in continuously improving the integrity of the department.
·         Assists with physical inventory when necessary.
·         Carries out other responsibilities as outlined in the company policies and procedures.
·         Other duties as assigned.
·         High school diploma or equivalent.
·         6 months manufacturing experience.
·         High degree of accuracy.
·         Attention to detail.
·         Organizational skills.
·         Ability to make accurate and quick decisions.
·         Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
·         Time management: the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
·         Strong team player.
·         Associates degree in quality related field.
·         Familiarity with MQ1 (Electronic Document Management System)
·         Familiarity with inventory systems.
