PLANT HUMAN RESOURCE GENERALIST - OFF SHIFT SUMMARY:    
The Plant HR Generalist is responsible for assisting with the day to day administration of policies and programs such as: compensation and benefits, training, employee and labor relations, safety and staffing.  This position serves as a liaison between the site employees and management.


PLANT HUMAN RESOURCE GENERALIST RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assist with administering the benefits program, including employee inquiries, problem resolution, and data compilation.
  • Administer Worker’s Compensation and closely manage claims involving restricted and lost time.
  • Ensure consistency in HR practices, policies and procedures.
  • Support internal / external audits.
  • Supports and assists with training initiatives.
  • Ensure workplace compliance, which include scheduling mandatory training sessions, proper placing of notices, and employment records.
  • Address and resolve work-related problems.
  • Manage leave of absences, coordinating with management and external parties as needed.
  • Prepare and maintain employment records.
  • Maintain accurate service records for inactive employees, records that are in compliance with federal, state and local laws and appropriate affirmative action reports, and all other required reports.
  • Assist in developing and writing policies and procedures affecting both hourly production and salaried staff.
  • Understanding of benefits administration, workers compensation, and unemployment claims review and processing.
  • Experience in union contract negotiations with an understanding of disciplinary action procedures and grievance process.
  • Promote and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Follows safety regulations and enforces compliance with company safety rules and regulations. 
 
EDUCATION/SKILLS:
  • Bachelor’s degree (BS or BA) is required.
  • Must have recent experience in a Manufacturing plant.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, deadline-oriented environment. 
  • Must have excellent organizational, interpersonal and time management skills. 
  • Must be task oriented, possess exceptional people skills and be reliable. 
  • Strong proficiency with computer skills.
  • Excellent communications skills.
  • High level of business ethics and integrity.
  • Ability to work an off shift.
