TITLE: Rehab Manager-Physical Therapy Director
LOCATION: West Virginia

SUMMARY:
The rehab manager provides rehab therapy to hospital patients under the direction of a qualified physician. 
Treatments are preceded by a consult and an evaluation of the patient. 
This person will have clinical responsibilities about 30% of the time the remaining time is spent attending to administrative responsibilities listed hereafter, which pertain to the coordination of activities within the department. 
The Director oversees the clinical and non-clinical staff of the department. 
The Director ensures that patient care activities within the unit run smoothly and billing for services is accurate and appropriate. 
This person makes daily staff assignments during the morning briefing and actively participates in the implementation and oversight of the departments safety initiatives. 
This person develops and implements policies and procedures that guide and support the provision of services. 
This person provides orientation, in-service training, and continuing education of all persons in their department. 
This person continuously assesses and improves their department’s performance and maintains appropriate quality control programs. 
This person functions in other areas critical to the successful operation of the department such as hiring of staff, checking and maintaining staff competencies, staff development, conducting monthly departmental staff meetings, staff performance evaluations, conflict management and resolution for patients & staff, department payroll, incident report management and productivity levels. 

QUALIFICATIONS:
Graduate from a school of Physical Therapy approved by the American Physical Therapy Association, with at least a Master’s degree in Physical Therapy. Doctorate in Physical Therapy preferred.
Must possess licensure to practice physical therapy in the state of WV and must be maintained in good standing or able to obtain.
Experience as a staff physical therapist in the acute care or sub acute care settings for at least 3 years. Current CPR certification is required. 

ADDITIONAL INFO:
This position is in the inpatient area over PT and Speech Therapy. Person would be working on developing an OT area as well.
There is 11 staff(PT's, PTA's and Speech Therapist). Great group and they all work together and get along.
Position reports to the COO.
Position has been open since June but running smoothly. The person moved back to be with family after 2 years.

The facility is offering a salary between 85K-110K depending on experience and they have a great benefit package and relocation package as well.
