Job Description
Supply Chain Manager
  • Consumer products distributor has a need for a Supply Chain Manager to oversee the entire supply chain team. 
  • Will report to the Vice President of Supply Chain  
  • This position is located in the Chicago, IL office and is hiring due to promotion  
  • Past placements describe the organization as fast paced, a place to be challenge and an organization that promotes within 
  • The department is expanding and need a supply chain manager who is a leader and can organize the department and bring new ideas to a growing organization

Job Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the entire supply chain process including purchasing, forecasting, inventory, demand planning, and logistics
  • Coach, train and mentor the team
  • Direct interaction with retail customers such as Wal-Mart, Target, Home Depot, Amazon, and Overstock.
  • Source, negotiate, procure and manage inventory levels for finished goods
  • Review and monitor daily shipments. Ensure that schedules are met to ensure 100% satisfaction with retail and consumer customers.
  • Generate key reports and analyze KPIs (Service levels, forecast accuracy/variability, etc.) to find trends and address potential risks.
  • Manage the e-commerce analysts
  • Bachelor’s Degree is required.  Ideally in Supply Chain Management, Business, Industrial Engineering or related field.
  • 3-10 years’ experience in supply chain function including forecasting, purchasing, inventory, and demand planning
  • International experience is preferred.
  • Must have retail consumer products experience.  Experience interfacing / interacting with Amazon, Wal-Mart, Target or similar retailers is preferred
  • E-commerce experience is preferred
  • Quick to learn new systems.  Intermediate MS Excel experience
  • Motivated by challenge, strong multitasking and analytical skills
