Job Type: Full-Time / On-Site

 

Summary:
We are supporting the case management system for the DHS Office of Inspector General (OIG) that is used by its agents to investigate incidents and programs.

Description:

  • Applies the use of process improvement, reengineering methodologies, and internet-related methodologies and principles to conduct process modernization projects.
  • Responsible for transitioning of existing organizations or project teams in accomplishing the organization’s goals or project activities and objectives through improved use of internet and other automated processes.
  • Supports activity and data modeling, development of modern business methods, identification of best practices, and creating and assessing performance measurements.
  • Provides group facilitation, interviewing, training, and additional forms of knowledge transfer.
  • Key coordinator between customers and multiple project teams to ensure enterprise-wide integration of reengineering efforts and application of best practice including e-business practices experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Extract, analyze specify, validate, and document end-user requirements as required
  • Lead planning sessions and identify project objectives
  • Communicate project status weekly with business project team
  • Partner with business to establish metrics to qualify project value and create business cases
  • Assist with project's overall implementation including rollout notes, communication, and training
  • Coordinate business tasks required before and after software releases; specifically those releases that affect business processes
  • Test plan definition and execution
  • Participate in the execution of the software development and methodology
  • Define, coordinate, and participate in end-user training
  • Capture and document business processes and process automation options
  • Define use cases and describe them with visual process models
  • Create business cases that capture business objectives, metrics for success, and technical strategy
  • Create release notes and participate in the creation of training materials
  • SQL query development
  • Debug/trace software problems
  • Have working knowledge of various development languages and platforms (.NET, C++, HTML, Java, Windows, Linux)
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Associate's Degree or higher
  • 5-15 years of experience
  • DoD Secret clearance or greater, or an active DHS/EOD
