Position Summary
Technical Analyst, Subject Matter Expert that understands technical architecture, enterprise integration, and data config, for the P&C space. Define & document technical requirements, design and develop complex integrations, and manage issue resolution.
  • Provide advice to software development personnel (internal and external)
  • Conduct walk-throughs of technical and operational features, functions and attributes.
  • Database set-up and troubleshooting on an on-going basis
  • Train clients, configure batch schedule, troubleshoot batch issues.
  • Perform technical analysis on complex integrations.
  • Troubleshoot/resolve technical issues related to middleware such as JBoss  / Websphere.
  • Set up of configuration as needed (initial and on-going)
  • Updates to database resolving a wide variety of data issues
  • Mapping all transactions to the client’s GL Accounts and documenting the configuration needed for the financials
  • Mentor BA’s, developers and QA as needed.
  • Data model and other technical training for clients
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and/or related field; related work experience can be substituted for educational requirement
  • 4-8 years of software development experience
  • Hands-on with the Java programming language
  • Strong knowledge of SQL, including complex multi-table queries
  • Understanding logical database design and physical database structures
  • Excellent knowledge and experience of RDBMS, especially tuning of complex database queries
  • Working knowledge of standard development tools: Eclipse, Maven, and Open Source Frameworks/Tools
  • Excellent understanding of OO software design
  • Excellent knowledge of application servers (JBoss, WebSphere), including configuration, monitoring and tuning preferred
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with external, as well as internal clients for data gathering and design initiation. This includes both verbal and written communication skills
  • Property Casualty Insurance Knowledge a plus
  • The ability to interact with external and internal clients
  • Design & develop interfaces leveraging ESB following SOA
  • Experience leveraging the Spring Framework
  • Excellent knowledge of Relational Databases, SQL and ORM technologies (JPA2, Hibernate)
  • Verified work history in a client facing role
  • Knowledge of DB2, Oracle, SQL Server.
