Technical Sales Manager "Load Securement"

A "state-of-the-art"  manufacturing facility in  NC just minutes from Charlotte is searching for a Load Securement Specialist to serve as the Technical Sales Manager.

The right candidate will have substantial experience in load securement using Wrap Tape, Reinforcing Fabrics, Strapping and Lashing Products, and Tie Down Webbing.


Job summary:

To support and facilitate the sales and marketing efforts for load securement products and damage prevention products on rail shipments and in the ports.  Focus is on application development, testing, training, third party certification, etc.  While the primary function of this role is to support customers, prospects and our sales team relative to load securement applications, we expect that there will be time to sell our strapping and lashing products to customers and prospects within the local sales region. 

Key Responsibilities
  • Help drive top line sales growth by developing customer load securement solutions
  • Develop relationships with the Class 1 railroads to identify their customers who need improved load securement solutions
  • Participate CS&BC’s efforts with the AAR (Association of American Railroads) and the NCB (National Cargo Bureau). 
  • Lead load securement application development to open new markets and drive sales.
  • Provide training to sales and clients on new product applications as needed
  • Work with end users to optimize load securement solutions to insure safe and damage free transit in rail and containers
  • Build and maintain close working relationships with assigned accounts
  • Support other sales personnel with application development for their assigned accounts and new prospects
  • Four year degree from an accredited university
  • Sales and marketing experience, B2B preferred
  • Knowledge of load securement and damage prevention is a must
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Self-motivated with a positive outlook and a high energy level
  • Up to 75% travel     
Abilities required:
  • Proficient in standard MS applications; WORD, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Strong written, verbal and presentation skills
  • Ability to succeed in a fast-paced, high pressure work environment
  • Ability to develop customer solutions from the company’s products and services
